MICROGRANTS
The Just Trust is offering $2,000 microgrants to any past or current grantee to hold a Justice & The Next 250 event anytime in 2026.
The only catch: talk about the future. Talk about what your organization is doing to shape the next 250 years of justice in America, and about the real solutions and strategies for the better way - whatever that is for you. Hold space for where we’ve been, of course, but use the bulk of your time and energy for where we’re going. Use it at a fundraising event, a public awareness moment, a media event, it’s up to you!
These can be in person or virtual.
EXCLUSIVE FILM PACKAGE
As an early funder of the new Ken Burns/Lynn Novick documentary series, Crime & Punishment in America, we are pleased to offer grantees and your communities an exclusive first-look at the series. The 4-part, 8 hour series airs on PBS in November 2026, and will be a resource shared in classrooms and American homes for years to come. Interweaving stories and perspectives of judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, politicians, prison wardens, police officers, journalists, people who committed crimes, and victims, this ambitious series illuminates the complicated history of criminal justice in America from many angles, and tells this enormously relevant story as it has never before been told.
We believe deeply that to understand where we’re going, we first need to understand where we’ve been. The series ends with a question of what’s next, of where we go from here – and we hope that’s where your conversation and storytelling will pick up the baton. If you’d like to screen never-before-seen segments of this forthcoming series in your events – a way to hold space for the past before pivoting to the future – TJT grantees (past and current) will be able to request screening packages and branded materials.
